Fair trade

What is fair trade?

Fair trade has the goal to reduce world wide economic imbalances, by supporting framers and workers. Fair trade standards serve as the tools for these changes. They establish the conditions for the social, ecological and economical development of producers' organizations prescribing stable prices and an additional rate for collective projects.

What does the fair trade seal stand for?

When purchasing goods bearing the fair trade seal you support farmers and employees on plantations. The independently controlled fair trade seal implies that the raw materials used stem from producers' organizations which meet the social, economical and ecological standards. Only goods meeting the international fair trade standards are allowed to bear the fair trade seal.
